Making wool cats eyes

A couple of days ago Rm 14 made cat eyes. Cats eye's are for our Christmas gifts. They are really fun and easy to make.

All you need was

  • Wool
  • Hot glue gun
  • Ice block sticks
  • buttons/other materials

  1. Firstly get two ice block sticks and hot glue them together diagonally.
  2. Start your wool by doing a cross in the middle of the two sticks by going diagonal.
  3. Wrap your wool around your sticks then quarter turn and wrap, then quarter turn and repeat until you reach near the top.
  4. Hot glue your materials to your Cats eye's.
Now you have made a really cool cat eye's you can give them as a gift or keep it for your self.
My favourite part was Hot gluing
my  materials. Also was successful. This is mine.

Class Speeches

This is a photo of me saying my speech about Casey Kopua and how she shows the value of excellence.I selected this person because she's a good role model and shows excellence.Casey Kopua shows the value of excellence by always trying to achieve her goals and never giving up.What I was most proud of in my speech was that I could finish saying it.

Cross Country

Last Friday was cross country at Mingoe park. Since I am 11 years old I have to run further than the rest which is 2500 meters. It was a long long run. The thing I found the hardest is trying to complete the race, I only ran 1 lap and a half. It wads really hard.I came 3rd because I kind of cheated. I only stayed back because I was feeling sad for Elexus. I am proud of is that I crossed the finished line. I really enjoyed giving it a try that all I am most proud of.

Personification

Room 14 has been doing some writing called personification.
We also had a picture  and I had an old fence,
Then we had to find a buddy and my buddy was Ashlee.
It went like this:

The old fashioned fence,
Rusty and bent,
It's lonely all the time,
Like a crinkly old ladies spine,
It's horizontal on a lean,
It wish it was sparkly clean,
It has a really good view because you see the beach,
But poor old fence can't reach,
It's a drunken fence post,
It's even to old to eat toast.
